It's In The Wind

Shyamalan’s career is what. I just went and saw The Happening. And here’s a little tip “If you call your movie The Happening, something should *#@!ing happen! Seriously…”

Now don’t get me wrong I’m not a Shyamalan hater or anything. I really liked The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs, but everything, and I mean everything he has done after that has been worse and worse. Even Paul Giamatti couldn’t save LITW. But with The Happening, there wasn’t an actor in it to even attempt a save. Mark Wahlberg was just plain weird in this. I’m not sure what direction he was given, but it seems like it was. “Hmmm… I really liked that but could you pitch your voice higher like you are constantly talking to a puppy? Also mention science more, you are a science teacher and they always mention science.” BTW you’ll learn that math teachers always mention math too. Oh And that people who don’t like to share their feelings with others sure love to talk about the fact that they don’t like to share their feelings.

Building a fixie part 0 continued

I went ahead and purchased a frame last week. I got the Surly Steamroller. But I totally have to paint it. It only come in that poop brown and that is not happening. I need to decide on the rest of my components and get them ordered. Though I think my first step is going to be paint. I’m a little undecided on the scheme.

I thought black, white and hot-pink might be rad, maybe even do a zebra pattern in hot-pink or white. Either that or green with white rims and some thick black stripes running down the bars. I dunno I may have to mock it up.

Also I’m pretty sure I’m going to get these dp18s laced to formulas The white ones are the devils heat.

iwrestledabearonce FTW!!!!!!

iwrestledabearonce is now my new favorite band. I’ve never seen a girl that can growl like that before. And the music is pretty awesome. I’m not super into the Evanescence part in the middle but the rest totally makes up for it.

Building a fixie part 0

I always do this. When I get into something, I really, really get into it. I got my langster about 3 months ago and I fell in love with riding. I actually enjoy my comute to work now and look forward to doing it everyday. I recently went fixed, and it’s even better. There is something about a fixed gear bike that is so simple and fun.

So like normal I am going overboard with it. Now It’s not enough to just have a fixed gear bike. I have to build my own fixie. So I’m going to blog my experiences in building a fixie. I’m sure its going to be a lot of fun and even more frustration as I learn all the ins and outs of building a bike from the ground up.

I have a few frame options. These pake frames look pretty hot, though I’m a little torn between it, the steamroller, and the bare knuckle. I think I probably aught to choose a frame first and then go from there.

I totally want to do a custom paint job, and possibly some other custom features, we’ll see, this might all be a pipe dream.
